Onewheels and Tariffs in Canada

Why Are Onewheels Tariffed?

Brief Overview of the Current Tariff Situation As It Relates to Onewheel (May 2025)

One of the most beloved American products is unfortunately included in the Canadian reciprocal tariffs. It falls under the HS code categorized as "Articles And Equipment For General Physical Exercise Etc" - 9506.99.00.90. Meaning, Canadian businesses that import Onewheels will need to pay 25% to receive these goods.

Lately, Canadian distributors of Onewheel have been increasing their prices to reflect the added cost of importing Onewheels. It is possible some distributors may have inventory that was purchased before the tariffs and is therefore less expensive. On another hand, some Canadian distributors are charging their customers extra after the Onewheels arrive.

Although Onewheels themselves are tariffed, most accessories for Onewheels aren't.
